Virginia Trip - Day 1 & 2
Courtney went on a WorldStrides trip this summer to Virginia, D.C. & New York. They landed in Richmond and hit the ground running. The first stop was Yorktown Victory Center on the coast of the Atlantic where they had minute men putting on a show and then got to dress in authentic custumes. At the restaurant that evening the fire alarm went off and the Fire Department was nice enough to pose with some of our lovely group! The next day they went to Williamsburg and the University of Virgina before heading on to D.C.
D.C. Trip - Day 3 & 4
The group pretty much covered every part of D.C. from the Capital building to Albert Einstien's nose outside of one of the many museums (that's him in the last picture - look closely!) They spent half a day at Arlington National Cemetary viewing many famous gravesites such as the Kennedy's and Roosevelt's and the tomb of the unknown soldier. They were going to get to go inside of the White House, but someone didn't get clearance so they only got to tour the outside grounds. Oh well!
New York Trip - Day 5
Courtney & her friend Paige holding up the Statue of Liberty. Boy are they strong! Well that concludes our pictures because Courtney got tired of taking them by the time they got to New York, but some of their other highlights in New York included the Empire State Building & Ground Zero. That evening they went to Grease on Broadway, and the last day they went to the Today Show and NBC Studios and shopping!
